DFI’s flagship protective windshield coating, Diamon-Fusion®, has been scientifically proven to deliver a safer driving experience for you and your passengers.  DFI has been applying our coatings to passenger, military, commercial and recreational vehicles since we received independent confirmation of Diamon-Fusion®’s impact and scratch resistance back in 1996. Diamon-Fusion® coating has been used by the US Army, Navy and other military and law-enforcement organizations around the world.  It has also been applied to over 1,000,000 cars, trucks and Recreational Vehicles just like yours. Diamon-Fusion Automotive Windshield / Windscreen Coating Protection:
  • Reduces night-time glare by up to 35%
  • Windshields  / windscreen tested to be up to 10x more resistant to damage from road debris
  • Improved impact and scratch resistance
  • Reduces windshield chips and cracks
  • Scientifically proven windshield / windscreen protection
  • Revitalization to maintain “like new” performance, if desired, is easy and effective
  • 10X more water repellant
  • Easier to clean, allowing insects and bird droppings to be easily washed away
  • Makes driving safer during rain, snow, and difficult nighttime conditions
  • Improved vision and reaction time, at 40 mph, university studies prove our hydrophobic coating can give you an extra 58 feet of prevention (1 full second of reaction time)
  • Protects against acid rain, corrosion, and mineral buildup
  • UV resistant, will not blister or peel like other coatings
  • Is 100% optically clear
  • Is military-grade
  • Resists pitting and etching so well that the U.S. Army applied it on Humvees to prevent damage from blowing sand in harsh environments

Better Visibility

Windshields (or windscreens) protected with Diamon-Fusion® become highly water-repellent creating a surface that sheds water especially at higher speeds.  You can see for yourself in the following video a windshield (or windscreen) half-protected (treated) and half-unprotected (untreated). Diamon-Fusion also repels mud, snow and ice, insect impacts and anything else that can get splattered on your windshield (or windscreen).  Watch The our Mud Test video.  In addition to improving visibility, it also makes cleanup and maintenance a breeze.

Reduced Windshield / Windscreen Damage

Diamon-Fusion® is a Scientifically Proven Safety Feature™ for your vehicle. University and military studies prove that Diamon-Fusion reduces the amount of damage a windshield (or windscreen) experiences from flying debris.  This is important because a damaged windshield (or windscreen) can compromise the safety of your vehicle in several ways.  Preventing that damage from occurring by having Diamon-Fusion applied will improve the safety of you and your passengers and will reduce the likelihood that you will have to endure the cost, time and hassles of replacing or repairing your windshield(or windscreen) .

Improved Night Vision

Diamon-Fusion® improves night vision because it makes the surface smoother. As you can see in the video, untreated glass actually has a very rough surface at the microscopic level.  Light waves interact with the world on this microscopic level.  This rough, untreated surface of your windshield (or windscreen) acts like millions of tiny prisms, splitting and deflecting the light in different directions.  This is what produces much of the nighttime glare you experience when driving.  As you see in that same video, Diamon-Fusion makes your windshield (or windscreen) smoother, significantly reducing that splitting and deflection of light, thus reducing the night glare dramatically and making for a safer nighttime driving experience.

Improved Driver Reaction Time

University tests prove that Diamon-Fusion® increases reaction time by a full second in rainy conditions.  How important is a second?  If you are traveling at 40 miles per hour, that second equals 58 feet.  As you can see in the photo below, this savings in reaction time will save lives and prevent property damage.   Kids Untreated Treated

Longevity Of The Benefits

Most people are familiar with that common X-brand rain-repellent coating.  Although a decent product, it is very basic and one dimensional.  You get a few weeks of water-repellency and then you have to reapply it.  That is because the X-brand coating breaks down with exposure to UV light which is always present in sunlight.  Diamon-Fusion® doesn’t break down when exposed to sunlight, so it lasts months, or even years, instead of weeks. The other determinant of how long a coating will last is abrasion.  Mechanical abrasion, such as windshield (or windscreen) wipers on the windshield (or windscreen), will reduce the performance of any coating.  The more wipers are used, the quicker the coating will wear.  As Diamon-Fusion wears, the first noticeable difference is in the water-repellency.  You may see it start to wane.  The good news is that with a simple application of DFI’s Revitalizer, you can get that “like new” water-repellency right back.  Your dealership may offer DFI’s Peak Performance Program that includes free Revitalizer applications.  The great news is that even once you’ve seen a decrease in water-repellency and even if you haven’t had Revitalizer applied, the impact and scratch resistance of Diamon-Fusion is still present and effective, and will be for years.
